top twelve doctors

just what it says on the tin. note: i am not counting the twelth doctor because he has not had enough screen time to acuartly judge his charector yet.

12. third doctor

the suave and gentlemanly third doctor, was a master of hand to hand combat and earth based stories.

11. eighth doctor

only appearing in two screen stories, the eighth doctor is none the less a fan favorite and has had many radio adventures

10. sixth doctor

arrogant, violent and not understanding the word "subtle", the sixth doctor is still enjoyable to watch.

9. fourth doctor

the doctor with the longest running screen time, tom bakers fourth doctor is often nominated as the best doctor of all time. he also has the most impractical scarf of all time.

8. first doctor

the one who started it all. a cranky old man, the first doctor will always be one of the greatest.

7. second doctor

"the space hobo" also known as the second doctor. sharing all but one adventure with scottish companion jamie, sadly most of his t.v stories have been lost to time.

6. seventh doctor

is he really good at thinking on his feet? does he have everything planned out in advance? is he simply an idiot? we may never have to answers to the mysterious seventh doctor.

5. fifth doctor

the most kind hearted and human of all the doctors, who also had to endure one of the most brutal and sad runs as the doctor. played a lot of croquet. 

4. tenth doctor

basically a remake of the fifth doctor, but with a nice coat. is often voted the greatest doctor of all time.

3. eleventh doctor

dark, mysterious and always acting like he drank an entire container of caffeine, the eleventh doctor and his bow-tie will be sorely missed.

2. ninth doctor

the often over looked doctor, who brought the series back after fifteen years. all i have to say about him is fantastic.

1. war doctor

the man who had to be the doctor on the day no one could get it right. spending his entire life fighting in the time war, he was never the less funny, heroic and above all, a personification of what the doctor should be, and my personal favorite.
